Your first treatment will begin with a consultation that will help me to understand your general health, lifestyle and current state of wellbeing which will help to inform the treatment and make the most of what you want to get out of reflexology.
During your treatment you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks and recline on a couch where you can relax and receive the benefits of the session.
Before each session your feet are cleansed and gently massaged. Using finger and thumb pressure, the reflexes are massaged paying particular attention to those areas that may help support your health and wellbeing according to your needs.
Each treatment is different, some people like to talk, while others lie back, relax and fall asleep. Either way, this is a time to focus on you and your well-being.
At the end of the session, I will give you feedback and some practical and personalised aftercare suggestions to take home with you to complement your reflexology treatment.
The effects of reflexology can usually be felt immediately, for example a feeling of calm, deep relaxation and a better night's sleep following your appointment.
Depending on the individual and the treatment focus, having six to eight sessions may be more beneficial to experience some of the more deeper, longer-lasting results of the therapy.
